David graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2001. He completed a Bachelor of Science in 1998 with a focus on Cardiovascular and Respiratory Pharmacology and Clinical Neurosciences. His postgraduate training included time in cardiology and clinical radiology, before completing training in Acute Medicine in 2015. Since this time he has practiced at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth as an Acute Medicine Consultant. He was Clinical Director of the Acute Medicine Unit for 4 years.
David has interest in preventative medicine and has published many clinical research papers in the field of cardiovascular medicine and arrhythmia risk. He has experience in cardiovascular and respiratory physiology and holds qualifications in nutritional sciences.
He has a fascination with digital medicine technologies and health wearables. For the past 7 years he has fulfilled this passion in digital medicine in the roles of Chief Clinical Information Officer and Clinical Safety Officer for Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust.
